Dr. Tina Alster is the founding director of the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery and is a clinical professor of dermatology at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. She received her B.S. and M.D. degrees with highest honors from Duke University and completed her dermatology residency at Yale University. She is a world-recognized leader in dermatologic laser surgery and has published hundreds of articles and 8 textbooks on the subject. Dr. Tina Alster maintains leadership and board positions in numerous professional and national organizations and has served as a consultant to several skin care and device companies, including Lancôme and La Mer. Her commitment to teaching and mentoring others is evident in her establishment of scholarship endowments for women pursuing careers in medicine at Duke University. She has received numerous accolades by her peers including the prestigious Mentorship and Legacy Awards from the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS). In addition to serving as an expert on TV and radio, she has been acknowledged in America’s Top Doctors, Town & Country’s Best Cosmetic Surgeons, America’s Elite 1000, Allure’s Influencer of the Year, Elle Genius Awards and Washingtonian’s Best Doctors and is consistently ranked among the nation’s top 1 percent of physicians in dermatology in US News & World Report.


Dr. Clemons graduated from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge in 1967 and from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans on a full military scholarship in 1971 while on active duty in the army. He completed his residency in dermatology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado in 1977. He went on to spend three years in Landstuhl, Germany as Chief of Dermatology at the regional army hospital and then completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1981. He was then assigned to the teaching staff in the Department of Dermatology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he retired from the Army in 1987 as a full Colonel.

In the spring of 1987, Dr. Clemons settled in Johnson City, TN. and began his private practice in general dermatology. He retired from general dermatology in 2010 and opened Renovus Medical Spa, the most complete medical spa in the region. He introduced cutting edge technology to the region for skin tightening, fat reduction, the rejuvenation of aging skin and a variety of advanced fillers. He continues to lecture and teach resident physicians, medical students, practicing physicians, industry and the general community.

Dr. Clemons is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is past President of both the East Tennessee Dermatologic Society and Tennessee Dermatologic Society. He has authored numerous dermatology articles, a chapter in a dermatologic textbook and is co-author of a dermatologic/ophthalmologic text book.


Dr. Michael H. Gold is the founder of Gold Skin Care Center, Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa, The Laser & Rejuvenation Center, and Tennessee Clinical Research Center located in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Gold is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Meharry Medical College, School of Medicine, which is also in Nashville. He is a Visiting Professor of Dermatology for Huashan Hospital, Fudan University in Shanghai, China (11/2006), Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, Guangzhou, China, as well as a Visiting Professor of Dermatology at Number One Hospital of China Medical University (11/2008) in Shenyang, China.

Dr. Gold is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon who oversees the various facets of the Center’s operations: a combination of medical and surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic services, and research endeavors. Dr. Gold has earned a national and international reputation for providing patients with leading-edge technological advances and has expertise in all facets of dermatology and aesthetic care. The Tennessee Clinical Research Center is now one of the leading dermatologic research institutions in the U.S.

Dr. Gold speaks on national and international fronts, focusing on dermatology issues related to the use of lasers and energy-based devices, as well as the use of fillers and toxins in aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology. He lectures in venues around the world and is a sought-after contributor to educational meetings globally.

Chérie M. Ditre, M.D., F.A.A.D

Chérie M. Ditre, MD, is Director of the Skin Enhancement Center and Cosmetic Dermatology, Penn Medicine at Radnor, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Her academic appointments include
Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Ditre is the Founding Member and Past President of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery, and is a Member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

In addition to serving as Senior Editor of Cosmetic Dermatology, Dermatology Times and the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Dr. Ditre has given more than 100 presentations on various topics in the field of dermatology and has been published in various journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, British Journal of Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Archives in Dermatology .

Dr Ditre has also trained many fellows, residents and students both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Ditre graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979 and received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983. She did her residencies in both Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She received her Dermatology training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. She also complete an NIH training research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Dermatology.

Dr. Ditre has developed the Glycolic acid Peel SRS system used by NeoStrata Co. and has been instrumental on the development of Glytone peel and product lines. She recently developed a retinol peel that is being used by Topix Pharmaceuticals Co. She has lectured worldwide on the AHAs and chemical peels as well antiaging techniques and products.
